Nursing - Associate of Applied Science Degree

Columbia State Community College offers a Nursing program which awards an Associate of Applied Science degree to students who successfully finish the program. The program aims to prepare students to become registered nurses who are committed to continuous learning and professional development. Courses covered during the program include Pharmacology in Nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, and Women's Health and the Childbearing Family.

Veterinary Technology - Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Veterinary Technology program at Columbia State Community College aims to prepare students to become competent entry-level veterinary technicians. The goals of the program include promoting humane treatment of animals and to prepare students to take the VTNE. Courses studied include Introduction to Veterinary Technology, Animal Anatomy, and Livestock management.

The $50,000 Student Engagement, Retention and Success (SERS) grant comes from the Tennessee Board of Regents and will fund a number of elements of the school’s project “Well-Being Initiative: Cultivating Mental Wellness at Columbia State.”

The City of Columbia, Tennessee has passed a resolution supporting Columbia State Community College’s new Southern Regional Technology Center. The city will be providing funds to help the school pay for construction and other expenses.
