The two-year Medical Assisting program at Zane State College will award an Associate of Applied Science degree and will help prepare students for entry-level medical assisting positions. The program will cover both the clinical and administrative duties taken on by medical assistants, including taking vital signs, taking medical histories, and scheduling appointments. After completing the program, students can test for certification to become a Certified Medical Assistant.
Zane State College offers a challenging two-year Occupational Therapy Assistant program that includes fieldwork and classroom lecture. Students will learn how to have a positive impact on their patients and change their lives by helping them regain their ability to perform their daily routines. After completing the program and the required fieldwork, students can take the NBCOT certification exam.
