Average Annual Cost

The average annual net price that a student who receives federal financial aid pays to cover expenses (e.g. tuition, living expenses, etc.) to attend the school's largest program. Net price is the program's cost of attendance minus any grants and scholarships received. For public schools, this is only the average cost for in-state students. Negative cost values indicate that the average grant/scholarship aid exceeded the cost of attendance.

About Sullivan University

Sullivan University is a private proprietary university in Louisville, Kentucky with additional extension campuses in Lexington, Fort Knox, Louisa, and Mayfield. Originally established as Sullivan Business College in 1962, the organization took its current name in 2000.

Sullivan University offers the following healthcare-related courses:

Medical Assisting

The Sullivan University Medial Assisting Diploma program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). Graduates of the program are required to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) as a programmatic / graduation requirement. This certification is a further indication of your skills and professional abilities.

Medical Coding

Medical coders play an integral role in today's healthcare industry by analyzing medical records and data for the purpose of billing and insurance reimbursement. The online Medical Coding diploma from Sullivan University provides students with a specialized medical coding skillset making them an indispensable asset in doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, insurance companies, and medical billing agencies.

Practical Nursing

Graduates with a diploma in Nursing are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN). The Nursing Diploma program has an NCLEX first attempt pass rate that exceeds the Kentucky Board of Nursing minimum percentage of students passing on their first try. The program focuses on topics supported by theory and the holistic care model. All of the nursing faculty are specialists in their fields, and the vast majority are still practitioners. This ensures that the theory that is presented is relevant and timely within the healthcare community. There is a personal, friendly atmosphere at the school and an "open-door" relationship with administration.
