Dental Assisting
The goal of the Dental Assisting program at Scioto County Career Technical Center is to train students to pass the certification exam at the end of the program. Students will learn about dental specialties, documentation, and emergency procedures through coursework and clinical experiences.
Medical Assisting
Students in the Medical Assisting program at Scioto County Career Technical Center will be prepared to take the certification exams at the end of the program. Students will be trained in the clinical and administrative duties of a medical assistant, like phlebotomy, pharmacology, and basic coding.
Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician program aims to prepare students for the required certification exam at the end of the program. Students will learn about topics like Medical Law and Ethics, Medical Terminology, and Pharmacology.
Practical Nursing
Students in the Practical Nursing program will become prepared to take the NCLEX-PN certification examination. Topics covered throughout the program include basic nursing skills, ethics, and working as part of a medical team.
