Mercer County Technical Education Center is located in Princeton, West Virginia. Mercer County Technical Education Center offers the following healthcare-related courses:

Dental Assisting - Certificate

This ten-month program instructs students on both theory and the hands-on skills necessary for a career in dental assisting. Students will learn laboratory procedures as well as chairside dental assisting. Upon completion of the course, students can take a certification exam.

Practical Nursing - Certificate

The Practical Nursing program at Mercer County Technical Education Center is a twelve-month program that aims to prepare students for practical nursing careers in a variety of healthcare settings. Students will attend lectures, hands-on classes, and clinical practice. After completing the program, students can take the NCLEX for licensing.

Mercer County Technical Education Center’s Grow Your Own Program allows for high school students to receive a dual credit for Bluefield State University and New River Community College to help fill the large amount of teacher openings in West Virginia.
