Medical Assistant

Students will learn important medical assisting skills like phlebotomy and office procedures. Upon completing the courses, students may test to become a Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding

Students in the Medical Insurance Billing and Coding program will learn skills like billing and coding, handling insurance claims, and basic anatomy. After completing the program, students can test for National Insurance and Coding Specialist (NCICS) and Certified Professional Coder (CPC).

Practical Nursing

Students in the Practical Nursing program at Canton City Schools Adult Career and Technical Education will learn the skills needed to take the NCLEX-PN exam, and to take on the role of an entry-level practical nurse. Students will learn how to give injections, monitor patients, and take vital signs.
