Kentucky State University offers an Associate in Nursing program that will prepare students to work as nurses in a variety of communities and settings. Classes include Behavioral Health, Pharmacological Concepts, and Public Health Nursing.
Nursing - Bachelor of Science
The Nursing program at Kentucky State University is a four-year program that will prepare students to take the NCLEX exam. The program aims to prepare well-rounded nurses who will be able to function effectively in a variety of settings. Kentucky State University will use the funding for “Farming for Cash: A Training Program Leading to Farm Ownership,” to teach veterans and other beginner farmers the basics of farming.
The new scholarship will give students who earned an associate degree from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and transfer students the ability to earn a bachelor degree from Kentucky State University for free.
The $7,000,000 grant from the NSF is the largest standalone federal grant Kentucky State University has ever received.
