New website launched by Kent State Tuscarawas to encourage donations and help students

The new Tuscarawas County University Foundation website will allow donors to make more informed choices about giving, proving and opportunity to donate to specific scholarships or projects.

Kent State University at Tuscarawas has unveiled a new website that serves as a platform for potential donors to see to which programs they can contribute. Administrators are hopeful that being able to direct their giving will help donors feel more invested and in control over where their fundraising dollars go, encouraging more donations. The Tuscarawas County University Foundation has been fundraising for the university since 1968 with a mission to "serve as a vehicle to support Kent State Tuscarawas; meet the costs of long-range capital improvements to the facility; promote and support higher education in Tuscarawas County and surrounding areas; and to provide funds for projects at Kent State Tuscarawas."

At the new website, donors can select from a menu of giving opportunities that include contributing to scholarship endowment funds, giving to the Performing Arts Center, or sponsoring other fundraising events such as golf outings. There are also special sections of the website for individual and business giving. The benefits of giving through the new site were elaborated on by Kent State Tuscarawas Dean & Chief Administrative Officer Brad Bielski who said in a news release, "The launch of [the website] allows our supporters to completely give in a convenient, secure manner and easily access valuable charitable information on how to help our students succeed. Generous contributors make possible many accredited programs and scholarships, as well as help meet the day-to-day needs of our growing university." The convenience and individualized experience were highlighted by Chad Conrad, director of advancement, "Our campus supporters will love the website sections we've devoted to inspirational ways of giving, which will help them decide which giving methods best suit them."
